School Residencies

We take an entire section (up to seven classes and spend up to forty-five munutes a day with each one). In those forty five minutes there is a different goal for each day. This will treat the students to many different aspects of theatre and academics.

  • Monday: Brainstorming, Storytelling, Playwritng

  • Tuesday: Theatre Games, Stage Comfort

  • Wednesday: Prop and Costume Construction

  • Thursday: Full Play Rehearsal

  • Friday: Dress Rehearsal, Performance

That's right in just one week's time and in less than six hours the students have created a play in which every student performs in front of a live audience. Sound impossible? Remember our slogan: "Anything is Possible!" We are ending our sixth exciting year of school residencies and are still amazed at all these students can accomplish. They write the plays, create their costumes and props and each child has at least one line in their play. Plays range from 7-10 munutes long. A fulfilling character building accademic experience sure to boost self-esteem.
